A popular camping or backyard tradition in the United States is the roasting or toasting of a marshmallows.
The fun is really simple. Poke a marshmallow in a long stick. Make sure the end of the stick goes through the other end of the marshmallows so it doesn't fall in the flame when it starts roasting. You can add chocolate chips and cookies to make a yummy "sweet sandwich" or you can just eat plain.
The kids love to seat around the fire and share their stories. It's a great excuse to get together.
